Interpretative awareness
and educational displays
From large-format visual displays to public awareness exhibits, I have many years’ experience conceptualising and designing indoor displays that focus on environmental narratives and messaging, as well as conceptualising in situ diarama displays.
Examples of this work include: the Sacred Ocean exhibits with IFAW-SA in the Two Oceans Aquarium in Cape Town, with video support from Pierce Brosnan and an interactive Great Whaling Debate; the Mapungubwe Revisited initiative with WWF-SA that involved high-profile public events at the Everard Read Gallery in Johannesburg, Ellerman House in Cape Town, and the Mapungubwe Museum in Pretoria. At each of these events, I created all the large-format visuals as well as print and narrative materials; Windows on the Oceans exhibited at the Two Oceans Aquarium and the Whale Museum in Hermanus.
