Visual Storytelling
I love storytelling and taking people on small journeys of discovery. We have been storytellers since the dawn of our time on earth, when we would sit around the night fire sharing tales of the land and the animals and a complex mythology threading its way to distant stars. It was a remembering and a way of deepening awareness and connecting with the spirit of place and time, and of grounding oneself in the essence of life itself.
Interpretative signage
A nature experience is often enhanced by sensitive and visually inspiring signage, enabling the visitor to deepen their engagement and experience of the living world around them.
Each of my signboards, trail, or nature displays consists of the following components -

-
Information on ecology and natural history
-
Script writing and poetic narrative
-
Photographs
-
Design and layout
-
Overseeing production and/or installation
Primate awareness panels for the Baboon Matters Trust

Urban wildlife signage in reserves and estates around Cape Town
Species signboards focusing on specific birds and mammals
Ceteacean panels exhibited along the southern African coastlines

Feedback
Last week I had the pleasure of reading your display at Kirstenbosch. Word for word I connected with what you are expressing there! It was wonderful to connect in that way – these moments are pockets of inspiration and hope.
